Quacked up…
It’s been a long time since I’ve enjoyed a win so little. That play - reversal - reversal reversal was complete bilge, but it did lead to the best offensive play of the game: Carroll repeatedly shouting “fuck you!” at Bellotti…
Anyway, I think it’s safe to say that the Ducks kind of fell apart, and USC managed to keep the mistakes to a minimum. Nice to see Jackson get three sacks on the night, Lua make some key tackles early, and Washington crack out the long run for a touchdown. The injury to Moody was a serious setback though; even if it’s “just” torn ligaments, he’s out for some time.
However, game ball goes, so far as I am concerned, to Taylor Mays for an outstanding interception in the first quarter.
UPDATE:
My 22 month old daughter woke up screaming during the fourth quarter, not too far off the various reversals. I mentioned that to a friend who was at the game and her response was, “I didn’t know that [toddler redacted] was able to channel me…”
