Another take on the end of the OSU game

There’s been some talk about whether USC would have been able to get the 2 point conversion to tie the game on Saturday if they had given the ball to Chauncey Washington rather than attempting to pass. Today’s LA Daily News has an interesting breakdown of the play from Sarkisian and Ruel, suggesting that the real problem was the the OSU defender who tipped it, didn’t bite on a three-step-drop. Fair enough. I also think that another alternative, since Washington had a case of the dropsies, would have been a pitch to Moody and have him head to the corner.
